What to do if an electric hoist suddenly loses power during use
published:2023-12-23

Sudden power outage can be a hassle for electric hoists undergoing lifting operations. So, how can we safely handle this situation? Guanhang provides some suggestions for everyone.

When a power outage occurs, it is necessary to turn off the power as soon as possible. If it is a short-term power outage, we can wait for a period of time, wait for the power to come back, and then start the power again to continue the lifting operation; If you know that the power outage time is long, you must find a way to remove the heavy object suspended in mid air, otherwise the long-term load will cause damage to the electric hoist. So what method can you choose to remove the lifting target?

We can observe the height of heavy objects suspended in the air, and then choose some lifting equipment to carry out "rescue", such as hydraulic stacker trucks and lifting platform trucks. As long as the height is sufficient, "rescue" can be carried out. Just move the fork or load-bearing platform directly below the heavy object, then lift it, lift it to fully support the heavy object, and then disconnect it from the electric hoist, so that the suspended heavy object can be easily and safely removed.
