The technique of lifting heavy objects with a chain hoist
published:2024-01-02

A chain hoist is a manual lifting device that requires manual pulling of the zipper strip to drive the sprocket to rotate. At this time, the chain will rotate, thereby driving the hook to pull up and down to lift the cargo.

Lifting heavy objects with a chain hoist also has certain skills. If operated improperly, it will not only reduce the efficiency of construction, but also damage the equipment and reduce its service life. There are several usage tips: 1. For small tonnage hoists (less than 3 tons), the chain can be pulled by one person when lifting goods. However, for large tonnage hoists (5 tons and above), one or two people may be needed for lifting, and it is important to note that a maximum of two people are needed, as pulling by multiple people may result in uneven tension and difficulty in coordination. 2. To determine the load capacity, it is necessary to accurately verify the weight of the lifted goods and select the appropriate hoist with the corresponding load capacity. 3. Pulling direction: The chain should not be pulled diagonally or forcefully to prevent jamming or jumping. It should be pulled evenly in the direction perpendicular to the sprocket.
