Working principle of flame arrester
published:2024-07-29

The flame arrester is an important safety protection device in wire rope electric hoists, and its working principle is mainly based on the control of the motor main circuit power supply. The flame arrester mainly consists of a moving and stationary contact, a push-pull rod (action rod), a base, a cover, and a housing. When the hook rises or falls to the limit position, the push-pull rod connected to the limit guide rod will produce corresponding pushing or pulling actions. This action will cause a pair of moving and stationary contacts to break, thereby cutting off the main power supply of the motor and achieving a limiting effect.

When the hook rises to the set highest position, the rope guide will push the upper limit collision block, and through a series of linkage mechanisms, the corresponding contacts in the fire stop limiter will be disconnected, the rising circuit will be disconnected, and the motor will stop running. Similarly, when the hook descends to the set lowest position, the lower limit collision block is pushed, and the fire cut-off limiter disconnects the descent circuit, also causing the motor to stop running.

The adjustment of the flame arrester is achieved by adjusting the two collision blocks on the limit rod. Users need to regularly check and adjust the position of the collision block based on actual usage to ensure that the hook operates within a safe range and avoids exceeding the predetermined lifting or lowering limits.

The working principle of the wire rope electric hoist flame arrester is mainly through mechanical linkage to control the on/off of the main circuit of the motor, in order to limit the operating range of the hook and ensure the safety of lifting operations. In daily use, the operation should be carried out according to the operating procedures, and the flame arrester should be checked and adjusted regularly to maintain its good working condition.
