What should I do if the chain hoist slips
published:2024-10-21

Improper operation of the chain hoist can easily lead to malfunctions, and slipping of the lifting chain hoist is a common type of malfunction. When encountering problems, it is necessary to actively solve them. What should the operator do when the chain hoist slips?

When the chain hoist slips, the operator needs to immediately stop working and inspect the chain hoist. The slipping of the chain hoist may be due to overload, loose spring of the pawl, or grease on the surface of the friction plate. During maintenance, the operator needs to first check the rated load capacity recorded on the nameplate of the chain hoist, and then check if the heavy object is overweight. If it is overloaded, the chain hoist with a larger load capacity needs to be replaced. If it is not overloaded, the operator needs to check the internal parts of the chain hoist: first check whether the spring of the pawl is loose, and if it is loose, repair it; Check if there is grease on the surface of the friction plate again, and clean it if there is grease to avoid slipping of the friction plate.

When encountering a chain block slipping, you can follow the above method to inspect and repair the chain block. Only after the repair is completed can you continue working.
