In the steel production process, the refining furnace is an important equipment for refining the molten steel in the primary refining furnace. It can not only effectively adjust the temperature of the molten steel, but also further remove impurities in the molten steel through a series of complex processes, accurately adjust the alloy composition, and produce high-quality molten steel to meet the strict requirements of subsequent processes such as continuous casting and rolling.
Over time, the refining furnace equipment will experience wear and tear due to continuous high-intensity operations, and regular maintenance is essential. The maintenance content covers multiple complex systems such as mechanical and electrical systems, from the transmission components of the steel ladle to the electrical components of the high-voltage system, every detail is related to whether the equipment can operate normally. Among numerous maintenance tasks, component replacement is extremely important, and in this process, the chain hoist plays a huge role.
Hand pulled hoists, as a convenient manual lifting machinery, have demonstrated their skills in refining furnace maintenance sites due to their simplicity, ease of use, and portability. When it is necessary to replace certain components of the refining furnace, workers will first fix the upper hook of the hand hoist in a suitable position, such as a sturdy support point above the factory building. Next, use the lower hook to securely hook onto the component to be replaced. When replacing large components such as furnace covers, multiple people work together to slowly pull the hand chain hoist's hand chain wheel, allowing the chain to drive the components up or down smoothly, thereby disassembling the old components and accurately installing the new ones. In maintenance areas with limited space or no power supply, the advantages of chain hoists are more prominent. They are not restricted by site and power conditions, allowing maintenance work to proceed smoothly, greatly improving work efficiency, ensuring timely repair of refining furnace equipment, and ensuring the continuity and stability of steel production.
