Steel wire rope is one of the most common accessories for electric hoists, so what are the most common faults it encounters? How to solve it?

1、 Pull and break

Cause of malfunction: 1. The lifting limiter malfunctioned and was pulled open. 2. Overloading is excessive. 3. It has reached the level of scrap and is still in use.

Solution: 1. Repair or replace the limiter. 2. Lift according to regulations. 3. Replace the steel wire rope.

2、 Deformation

Cause of malfunction: 1. No guide rope, causing the steel wire rope to be squeezed and deformed. 2. Diagonal suspension causes deformation of the steel wire rope.

Solution: 1. A rope guide should be installed. 2. Operate according to safety regulations.

3、 Wear and tear

Cause of malfunction: 1. The inclined suspension caused wear and tear on the steel wire rope and outer shell. 2. The pulley groove and drum groove do not match the steel wire rope.

Solution: 1. Do not lift diagonally. 2. Reasonably select steel wire ropes.

4、 Aerial torsion

Cause of malfunction: 1. When wrapping the wire rope on the ground, the wire rope was not relaxed and straightened.

Solution: 1. Wrap the steel wire rope in a relaxed state.
